The latest evolution of the Internet, Web 2.0, has shifted attention from access to information toward access to others. Innovative online resources such as social networking sites, blogs, wikis, and virtual communities are challenging tradtional methods for communicating and learning. A new user centric information infrastructure is emerging that emphasizes participation over presentation that will lead to and support a rich ecology for the global adoption and validation of Learning 2.0.
